About Jamie

I believe education should be interesting, intelligent, and collaborative. This means creating classes that make students want to learn, with language useful to their lives and passions. In the case of younger learners, it also means encouraging parents to be active members in the progress.

Students with me have studied general English, IELTS, SAT, English literature (including literary techniques), and classes themed on western culture prior to overseas studies. Most common classes are those tailored to the specific wants and requirements of the students, from whom feedback and requests are always welcome, but have recently introduced learning through quizzes for those who enjoy games and pub quizzes.

- NCTJ / Press Association - Diploma in Journalism

About the lesson

Quality English tutoring through a variety of mediums:
- Pub quiz classes, which teach English while learning about the world - challenge the mind in two ways!
- English writing techniques, taught via the work of famous authors such as Jane Austen, Emily Bronte, and Charles Dickens.
