About Rachel

I am twenty-five years old and I am passionate about teaching English as a second language. I have three years' experience teaching English. In the future, I hope to teach abroad and travel to many countries. I am here to gain experience teaching and become better at my future job!

About the lesson

I teach English as a second language as well as tutoring for native speakers in adult education! Having had TEFL (Teaching English as a Second Language) training I am able to tutor using up-to-date teaching techniques and through my degree (Bachelor's degree at level 2:1 in English and Creative Writing), I can teach editing and written communication skills too. Lessons will typically be an hour. I currently tutor two students, and have tutored four altogether. My other experience includes helping to teach reading during my school days and tutoring my nephew. My qualifications include a 120 TEFL certificate, a BA in English and Creative Writing at level 2:1, 10 GCSEs A*-C, 3 A-Levels at C grades (History, English Literature and Religious Studies) and a distinction in a Computing course. Lessons are usually conducted on google meet. My lessons will be for those above 18 and upwards.

I've had the pleasure of having Rachel as my English tutor for a quite sometime now and must say that she is exceptional. The challenge I presented was unusual and fell outside the norms of what most students look for but Rachel proved up to challenge and was great at educating me. Highly recommended tutor!
