About Rebeca

I have always had a genuine passion for English and love helping others develop their confidence and appreciation for the subject. I believe English is not only about understanding texts but also about expressing ideas, developing creativity, and building valuable communication skills. I achieved a Grade 8 in GCSE English Literature and a Grade 7 in GCSE English Language, showing my strong knowledge and understanding of both literature and language.

I have gained valuable experience volunteering with Toe by Toe, where I supported children with their reading development and helped them improve their literacy skills in a patient and encouraging way. This experience strengthened my desire to support students and adapt my teaching to suit different abilities and learning styles. I am currently studying A Level English Literature, allowing me to continue expanding my analytical skills and explore a wider range of writers, themes, and ideas.

I aim to create engaging and supportive lessons where students feel comfortable asking questions, challenging themselves, and developing a real enjoyment for English while working towards their individual goals.

About the lesson

My online English lessons are designed to support students from KS1 and KS2 through to GCSE level, with every lesson personalised to suit each student’s individual needs, targets, and learning style. For KS1 and KS2 students, I focus on building strong foundations in reading, writing, comprehension, spelling, grammar, vocabulary, and creative expression, helping children grow in confidence and develop a positive relationship with English.

For GCSE Edexcel students, I provide focused support with key literature texts including Macbeth, An Inspector Calls, A Christmas Carol, and the War and Conflict Poetry anthology. Lessons are tailored to improve essay structure, analytical skills, understanding of themes and characters, use of quotations, exam technique, and revision strategies. My aim is to create engaging, supportive lessons where every student feels encouraged to improve, challenge themselves, and reach their full potential in English.
