About Ellie
I have 4+ years of experience as an English teacher and private tutor and have taught students of all ages and backgrounds. I have also worked as an editor at a publishing company, so I am experienced in helping authors perfect their written works.
I have coached students in their native English language skills and helped non-native speakers improve their English. Many of my students have seen a boost in their grades as well as their confidence.

My teaching method starts with learning the needs and goals of each student. I believe that education should teach students how to learn, not how to fit into a system. When you learn with me, you will not just be memorizing new information. You will be developing yourself as a student and as a person.
I strive to make learning material engaging and proactive in the minds of those I teach. I find that lesson materials sometimes need to be modified to better fit the needs and strengths of the students. This personalized, one-on-one lesson tailoring is one of the skills I offer as a teacher.
