About Kayla
Hello! My name is Kayla and I have been a passionate educator since my own time in high school, where I worked with mentorship programs tutoring to elementary and middle school students. It has been my pleasure to find a way to package information in a way that is accessible and understandable to most students of various levels and backgrounds.
Tutoring starts with developing a comfortable and easy relationship between the student and tutor. This is the area I find the most success in. Students have come back to me even years after my time working with them for recommendations, advice, and educational support. It has been my pleasure to work with so many different students over the past years, and I am sure it will be my pleasure to work with you, too

Tutoring is based on individual student needs and as a result, my methods and resources are flexible and have a lot of variety for both in-person and virtual tutoring.
Typical lessons for middle school or high school students will focus on identified areas of struggle or can be used to support students in their classroom assignments and homework.
I also offer tutoring to adults who do not speak English as a first language. These lessons will be based on the student's current knowledge of the English language.
Regardless of the age or subject, I enjoy incorporating games and challenges for practice and assessment.
