About Hannah
English Teacher with five years' experience, currently at a Middle School teaching Year 6 - Year 8. Previous experience at an Independent Grammar School, with extensive experience marking and tutoring the 11+ alongside teaching GCSE and A Level. Alongside my work in the classroom, I recently achieved an MA in Shakespeare and Education (Distinction), and am passionate at every level about creating excitement around engaging with rich texts in ways that take the fear out of them and build pupils' confidence in tackling big ideas.

I have been working as a tutor since 2017; it is an enormous privilege to facilitate the progress of young people of every stage. Teaching has taught me that with the right support, readers and writers of every prior experience can be encouraged to see themselves as confident readers and writers, supporting them to thrive. I pride myself on meeting my students where they are, evaluating the support and exam technique that will support them to feel confident and excited about English.
