About Luana

Hi! I'm Luana. I'm Brazilian, 32 years old, and I currently live in the Jabaquara neighborhood. When I'm not teaching, I'm playing video games, cuddling one of my cats, or learning a new language. I grew up in São Paulo and have worked in many different fields, finding my destiny in English. I'm currently studying English Language Arts and I work online and in schools.
About my teaching journey: I’ve been teaching English for almost four years now, and it’s become my focus. I’ve worked with all types of students — from lively 3-year-olds to curious seniors — both in the classroom and online.
I enjoy teaching beginners to overcome their fear of English and watching them grow in this skill, which is why I prefer this level. It is a pleasure to introduce people to this world and 'hold their hand' throughout the process.

About the lesson

I work in different schools, from the highest level to the most humble. I have learned that the best method is the one we use with children: organic and direct. I have learned how to make lessons natural, fun and effective. So you can expect at least one game per class and understandable grammar.
We practice English and answer questions in Portuguese if necessary, no problem. We will review topics that require attention and explore the limits of what the internet has to offer: we will watch videos, music, stories, etc.
It is essential to practice all skills in each class, so yes, we will read, write, listen and speak in every class.
Shame is common due to the type of education offered in public schools and the traumas we develop. But I guarantee that it doesn't last more than a few classes, after all, if you want it, you can do it!

Tive aulas com a teacher Luana por um bom tempo e posso dizer que ela é uma professora incrível! Eu já tinha um nível intermediario e estudava inglês mais por hobby, pra tapar uns buracos, e ela conseguiu exatamente o que eu procurava: aulas leves, divertidas, mas ainda assim uteis pra minha vida.

Como brasileira, ela entende as dúvidas que a gente tem e sabe explicar de um jeito claro, sem deixar a aula pesada. Sempre tive espaço pra conversar, errar, tirar dúvidas e sair da rotina tradicional de ensino.
Recomendo demais, especialmente pra quem quer manter o inglês afiado de forma natural e leve.

For basic level classes 30% discount.
For each level achieved, ±30% is added to the monthly fees, as the classes will be more challenging and the lesson planning needs to be greater.

If you don't know your level, book a trial class or take the online test on the Cambridge English website.
20% discount if you bring another student or refer someone who closes a package.
In-person service has an additional fee of R$10 to R$25. It is available within a radius of up to 5–7 km from Jabaquara. Outside of this, only online or with a special rate upon request.
