About Nontando
Hi my name is Nontando but you can call me Thando and I’m from South Africa. I’ve been teaching for 5 years now. I was a Peer Educator and had the platform where I would help engage with the students on a level the lecturers couldn't, either with their academics or personal life. I also sharpened my skills in student engagement where I would help them study for various subjects and prepare for exams in college. I hold a TEFL certificate and have been involved in teaching in a different capacity for 5 years as I mentioned. I engage in teaching voluntarily with people in the community where I teach educational activities with reading and helping them understand what they are reading. I have the opportunity to teach and help people from diverse backgrounds and age groups. Each week, I also participate in training sessions that help me focus on effective communication and teaching methods, which I believe will be beneficial in a TEFL classroom setting.
