About Anna
Hello! My name is AJ, and I am a current freshman in university with a passion for reading, writing, and teaching. I have tutored students previously in math and am excited to branch out into a field of study that I am especially passionate about. Ancient Greek and Roman literature such as Homer's Iliad and Virgil's Aeneid are particularly intriguing to me (as indicated by my heavily annotated copies). When I am not reading or writing, I enjoy playing piano, experimenting in the kitchen, and playing with my Australian Shepherd, Chase. I cannot wait to get to you more!

A typical lesson is largely structured around Socratic dialogue and leading the student to make their own conclusions. The ultimate goal of tutoring sessions is for students to gain proficiency in and an appreciation for the beauty of literature by developing writing skills and discussing critical motifs found throughout literature. Lesson plans will be created after an initial evaluation of the student to maximize their enjoyment and success.
