About Kimberley
I am completing my degree in Comparative Literature and English at the University of St Andrews and have taught over six students over the course of my degree. I have experience from completing my Scottish Highers and Advanced Highers in various subjects, therefore I can sympathise with the struggles of exam stress and the difficulties a student will face. Especially as someone who was taught English as a second language, I never let my students feel discouraged but rather want them to feel excited to learn. I like to explain things in a more simplified way before working my students up to give exam answers.

My teaching method is to give a broad understanding of a text or theory first. To do this, I tend to simplify things down or use examples in the modern day. I like to interact with my students through talking about relevant topics and relating them to what we are studying. From there, I would try to gauge where the student struggles with either writing an answer or understanding a question. We would try to do relevant exercises and work up to completing a past paper.
