About Jade
I am Jade Peterson, a senior at Florida International University Online receiving my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education August 2025. I am family-oriented and love to go above and beyond for those I come in contact with! I currently live in Houston, Texas with my 2-year-old dog, Brownie!

My teaching approach is rooted in constructivist, play-based, and developmentally appropriate practices. I create hands-on, inquiry-rich learning experiences that encourage young children to explore, question, and construct their own understanding. I use a mix of:
- Differentiated instruction to meet individual learning needs (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, etc.)
- Formative assessments and observation to guide instruction in real time
- Positive behavior strategies
- Scaffolded support using the Gradual Release of Responsibility model (“I do, We do, You do”)
