About Landy
Hello! My name is Landy, and I am a patient, supportive, and highly dedicated English reading tutor with over three years of experience teaching ESL to Chinese students online through VIPKid. My background in both education and healthcare as a licensed physical therapist gives me a calm, structured, and encouraging teaching style that helps students feel understood, safe, and confident as they build their reading skills.
Working with young learners internationally taught me how to adapt to different learning styles, simplify complex ideas, and create lessons that keep students engaged and motivated. I specialize in helping students improve reading fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, and overall confidence through personalized, step-by-step instruction.
Professionalism is extremely important to me. I come prepared for every lesson, communicate clearly with parents, and create a warm, respectful learning environment.
