About Pat
My name is Patrick, I was born in Wisconsin, and I lived in New York. I have a degree in theater and human development (sociology, psychology), I taught literature in America and English abroad for over 20 years, I write poetry, opera librettos and comedies (my musical Black Peter was staged in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles) and I did improv (comedy based on improvisation) for 13 years. I recently moved to Milan, and I teach English in two schools. I offer 1on1 private lessons or even for mini-groups (2-3 people) also at home (or from you in the office, in front of a coffee, etc. etc.) to help you and improve the level of conversation or / or grammar. My name is Patrick. I have been teaching English, both in America and abroad for over 20 years. I am a playwright and comedian, and my musical comedy "Black Peter" has been performed in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. Recently, I moved from New York to Milan, where I now teach in two language schools. I offer 1-on-1 private lessons, as well as small group lessons (2-3 people) at your home or office, at the bar, during lunch, over a pint, on a park bench, in your car, at a football match, at the gym, etc ..., etc ..., etc ...;) to help improve conversation and / or grammar.

I have a variety of teaching methods based on the level, age and needs of the students. A lesson usually begins with conversation and then when an area of difficulty is identified, I provide exercises to improve understanding of that topic. When I teach the preparation of the tests as a Cambridge First Certificate, I provide all the necessary material.
