About Silvia Anna

Working with companies such as Berlitz, Abu Dhabi and LCT - Language & Communication Training, Rome I have acquired a unique skill set in teaching senior professionals. I consider teaching Business English and English Coaching to be my foremost relevant skills and have a specific experience in teaching, phone language, writing emails and presentations. Twelve years living abroad in countries like Italy, the United Arab Emirates and Singapore has afforded me the practical know-how to excel in Cross-Cultural Training. As a freelance language coach, I made it my personal goal to increase my ability to promote fluency, limit interruptions to build confidence and encourage self-correction to reinforce language retention while students continue to improve their practical listening, reading, writing and speaking skills . I welcome student feedback and continue to improve my strategies for overcoming common learning barriers. My talent in developing meaningful professional relationships with students I have experience and excel in creating my own lesson plans, modifying lesson plans and following method-based strategic material. I teach my pastoral experience. This experience gives me an edge in understanding specific student needs.

About the lesson

My background includes proficiency in direct method teaching, communicative language teaching, task-based language learning, and the silent method. I worked successfully for Berlitz, Abu Dhabi for 4 years. I have taught in both independent and collaborative classroom settings where I developed my skills. I was awarded my CELTA certified in 2013 at the British Council, Abu Dhabi. While living abroad The freelanced one-on-one and group lessons tailor-made courses in the fields of law, healthcare, engineering, and higher education. The continuous to offer: Skype lessons with a focus on the introduction of material of cultural, professional and personal relevance to students who seek to improve fluency for business purposes.
