About Emily
I am a recent English Literature and Creative Writing Graduate from the University of Surrey. I graduated with a First with Honours, and I am now looking for ways to continue utilising the knowledge and skills I have learned throughout my degree. I am incredibly passionate about the subject of English and am in the process of writing my second novel. I have various journal articles published online and have gained experience in tutoring through a variety of volunteering programmes that I have participated in.
I look forward to helping students realise their full potential and hope to inspire a similar passion for English in them!

I believe in a student-centred approach to tutoring. My aim is to understand the struggles of a student and work with them to address and overcome their obstacles to learning. I believe patience and understanding are essential in this process. Having dealt with the symptoms of ADHD throughout my educational career, I understand the feelings of frustration and hopelessness that can arise when struggling with an academic subject. My goal is to offer my students a relaxed and open environment, where learning can take place, without pressure.
I believe my teaching style to be passionate, honest and aimed at helping each individual English student thrive! As a recent graduate, I feel I understand the challenges and complexities of the English language. I am keen to help other students who are looking to further their understanding of the subject, every age and every level.
