About Jessica
I am a preservice teacher who has a passion for education. I firmly believe that with the right tutelage every child will learn and must learn. My belief is that students should be the focal point of learning within a classroom and the teacher should be a facilitator. Students should be given as many opportunities to build their own knowledge and learn according to their preferences and learning styles.

My approach as a teacher is to help students to construct their own knowledge and be active participants in their learning. My teaching method is one that is exciting and meets the students' needs, not the teacher's interests. A typical lesson plan for me includes all 5 E's and SMART objectives as well as resources that align with the topic and students' interests. My lessons are taught in a manner that students can relate to and apply to their daily lives.
