About Emilios

My name is Emilio, and I am a graduate of the University of Cyprus with a degree in English Language, Linguistics, and Literature. Additionally, I have a master's degree in Neurolinguistics and Psycholinguistics from the University of Essex in the United Kingdom.

My philosophy as a teacher and as a person is that each individual is unique, with their own strengths, abilities, and weaknesses. That's why every student needs their own time and, with their own terms, the guidance of a competent mentor who can understand them. With the help of such a mentor, anyone can achieve their goals.

Always with an open mind, I have learned to listen to my fellow human beings, to understand their needs, and to focus on their abilities. Together, we build a sense of trust that serves as the foundation for overcoming their limits.

I love basketball and sports in general.

Music is my passion, and I have experience in composing music. In the past, I have been a member of various musical bands.

Since a young age, I have been involved with electronic games, which I believe are the future of entertainment and education.

I have a keen interest in studying history and philosophy. Recently, I have also been writing my own science fiction book.

Being young, I feel that I can easily relate to young people and understand their interests and needs.

Having lived in the United Kingdom for over seven years, working as a team leader in a large school supplies distribution company, as well as a support worker for individuals with special needs and psychological issues, I have learned to speak, write, and read English flawlessly. I can communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds and contexts.

Choose to become my student, and I will dedicate all my time to guide you towards achieving any goal you have set.

About the lesson

I always adopt a person-centered approach to teaching. First, an assessment is in place. Then, according to one's needs, goals, strengths and weaknesses, we explore the best possible way to begin our journey together. I provide students with online handouts that contain all kinds of interesting themes and exercises aimed at improving all language skills (reading, listening, writing, speaking). I can also suggest a book suitable for any student.
Lessons are usually an hour long, but I can also extend to an hour and a half if the student requires it.
I have completed my BA on English Language and Literature and my MA on Neurolinguistics and Psycholinguistics. I have been teaching for two years and I have accumulated a total of 1200 hours of online lessons.
