About Demi
I have 9 years of experience teaching English to learners from diverse cultural, academic, and professional backgrounds. I hold a Master’s degree in English Language and Communication Studies, which provided me with deep insight into linguistics, discourse, and effective communication strategies. This academic foundation allows me to explain language clearly while adapting to individual learning needs.
My teaching approach is patient, structured, and learner-focused. I believe progress happens best when students feel supported and understood. I take time to observe how each learner processes information, adjusting explanations and pacing to ensure clarity and comfort throughout the learning process.
Beyond teaching, I remain engaged with English through academic reading, writing practice, language analysis, and media exploration. These experiences enrich my lessons and keep them dynamic. My English lessons are designed to help learners communicate clearly, confidently, and thoughtfully in both spoken and written contexts. I focus on grammar accuracy, sentence structure, vocabulary development, pronunciation clarity, reading comprehension, and expressive writing skills. Lessons emphasize understanding how language works in real situations rather than memorizing isolated rules. I guide students through examples drawn from everyday communication, academic contexts, and professional settings so learning feels relevant and practical.
Each lesson is carefully adapted to the learner’s level and goals. Beginners focus on foundational grammar, sentence building, basic vocabulary, and pronunciation confidence. Intermediate learners develop fluency, expand expressive vocabulary, improve writing organization, and strengthen listening and speaking accuracy. Advanced learners refine academic writing, argumentation, tone control, critical reading, and confident discussion of complex topics. Activities include guided conversation, structured writing tasks, feedback analysis, and reflective correction.
Learning English also strengthens confidence, critical thinking, and self-expression. As learners gain control over language, they become more comfortable sharing ideas, asking questions, and participating actively. My goal is to help students feel empowered by English—not anxious—so they can use it as a tool for learning, connection, and personal growth.
