About Stephanie

Hello! My name is Stephanie Enzminger and I'd be happy to help you with yours or your student's English skills. I have over six years of experience tutoring, and I am currently based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I graduated summa cum laude from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a degree in English and a TESOL certificate. Additionally, I pursued double minors in Linguistics and Spanish.

About the lesson

I have always seen language and communication as an art. All works are an amalgamation of deliberate decisions that overall contribute to a purposeful message. I am here to guide you in ways where you can be more conscious of your writing choices and the effects they may have. On the other hand, while reading, I hope to get you asking deeper questions about a text. These critical thinking and rhetorical skills will not only help you in the classroom but beyond when you find you need to advocate for a raise or make yourself look good in a job interview.

Together, we will look at articles and do projects or activities that will refine your skills as a reader and writer. This may look like researching for an argumentative paper, reading up on rhetoric, or brainstorming topics for a personal narrative.
