About Amber

I have an academic and professional working background in both English and Psychology, having acquired degrees in both subjects from Exeter University and Goldsmiths University. I have recently completed my qualification in Child and Young Persons Psychological Wellbeing Practice at UCL. I am passionate about building individuals' communication skills, whether this is through academia or just simply enhancing their conversational and written skills in the English language. My experience of teaching English ranges from primary level (SATS), GCSE, IGCSE, A Level, to Adult level.

About the lesson

I aim to create a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere that is student-centred and safe for students to bring ideas to sessions. Covering the students' goals and scaffolding steps to accommodate their individual learning needs, whether through providing additional written and visual resources, as well as reframing steps for conversational English. Lessons are 1 hour long in length and are based online using an interactive approach to deliver lesson materials. I have 6 years of experience teaching English to students from age 10 to adult level in both school settings and online. I have tutored students for GCSE, IGCSE and A Level English exams, covering all exam boards. Qualifications: - Undergraduate degree in English (Exeter University) - Masters in Psychology (Goldsmiths University) - Cambridge CELTA level 5 (International House London) - Post Graduate Diploma in Child and Young Persons Psychological Wellbeing Practice (University College London)
