About Layla
Hi, I’m Layla, a first-year student at the University of Alberta majoring in Psychology with a minor in Creative Writing. I studied IB Higher Level Language and Literature, which gave me strong skills in reading, analysis, and writing. Outside of academics, I write my own songs and poetry, which deepens my love for creativity and expression. My lessons are patient, supportive, and tailored to each student’s needs. I know how overwhelming essays and analysis can feel, and I want to make English more approachable, enjoyable, and confidence-building for every student I work with.

With experience in IB Higher Level Language and Literature and a minor in Creative Writing, I offer lessons that break things down step by step, making English more approachable and even enjoyable. My goal is to share strategies that helped me succeed, while supporting you in building confidence and stronger skills.
