About Enguerrand
I have a master's degree in translation studies (MA in Translation), obtained with first class honors from the Open University in the United Kingdom. I specialize in audiovisual and humorous translation. I also followed a short training course delivered by Cambridge (CELTA) which allowed me to deepen my knowledge of pedagogy in the teaching of foreign languages. Passionate about English, I would be delighted to help you with your personal project, whatever it is!

My methodology is based on the Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages issued by Cambridge. This method places the learner at the center of the learning process, unlike the practices that can be used in traditional school curricula, which put the teacher in a central role in the learning process. Each learner has their own needs, which is why a first course allows me to identify your strengths, weaknesses, and goals. Following this, my lessons are built around the 4 'skills' which constitute the learning of any language: oral and written expression, oral and written comprehension. To these skills are added 'systems', such as grammar, vocabulary, phonetics (too often neglected by English programs in middle and high school, although it is of paramount importance!). These skills and systems can be worked on independently, or together, depending on your needs. In addition, the courses are delivered only in English, whatever your level, and I try above all to make you learn, so I will never give a ready-made answer before you have had the opportunity to find the answers by yourself! This method may sound scary, but it is by far the most effective! I prepare each course conscientiously, taking into account the points on which you want to improve. Each of my courses follows a plan, where each theme is introduced gradually to bring you to integrate new concepts at your own pace. If you are motivated to learn / improve your English, nothing is insurmountable!
