About Naina
Hi! I’m a friendly and passionate tutor currently studying Business at Deakin University. As an international student, English is my second language — but it has always been one of my strongest subjects. I scored an 8 band in IELTS and 108/120 in TOEFL, with top marks in grammar and writing. Because I’ve learned English from the ground up, I understand where students struggle, and I know how to explain concepts clearly and patiently — especially to those who feel too shy or unsure to ask for help. Whether it’s grammar, creative writing, essays, or even poetry, I love making English feel less stressful and more empowering. I relate to all kinds of learners — from younger students just starting out, to high school students who might feel like they “shouldn’t need” tutoring. You’re never stupid for needing help, and asking questions is actually a sign of strength. My goal is to eventually become a university professor, because I love teaching and mentoring students. I’ve helped people in my community and even supported my friend Naina’s siblings with their English — and I’d be proud to help you too. Let’s make English something you feel confident in.

I believe that every student learns differently, so I adjust my teaching style based on their needs — whether it’s breaking things down into simpler explanations, using visual aids, or practising through conversation and writing. My lessons are usually 60 minutes long and focus on building confidence and clarity in English, from grammar to essay writing. I’m currently a Bachelor of Business student at Deakin University, and while I haven’t professionally tutored yet, I’ve regularly helped students in my community and even supported my friend Naina’s younger siblings with their English homework! I offer lessons for all school levels — from primary to VCE — and I’m happy to teach online or in-person in Melbourne. I aim to create a comfortable, friendly space where students feel safe asking questions and actually enjoy learning.
