About Jonathan
I have taught English in various ways for the last 5 years. I was an ESL English teacher in South Korea in 2014 before moving on to teach English as a subject at high school for the government. Before leaving Korea to return to the UK I taught business English to executives from companies such as GM, Microsoft, Bank of Korea etc. at the world's oldest ESL school. In 2015 I helped to create the South Korean University entrance exam.
I have recently become an NQT High School English Teacher at Glasgow University and have taught at two schools in South Glasgow and Renfrewshire.
I have an Honors Degree in English and a Post Graduate Diploma of Education as well as a British Council Level 5 TEfl qualification.
I have taught hundreds of students from middle school age to adult and have seen my students graduate from high school, university, or become promoted in their place of work.

The way I teach a lesson will depend on the aim of the lessons and the type of students involved.
I have training and experience working with students of varying abilities and interests and will tailor my lessons to suit the needs of the student.
Each lesson will typically feature a starter, main learning, and then a practice activity.
The contents of the lesson will depend heavily on what the student is interested in and needs to improve on but I try to make my lessons as enjoyable and engaging as possible, with references to "real life" applications.
