About Amy
Hi my name is Amy!
I'm a current Masters Student at McGill University in Second Language Education and a graduate from the University of Cambridge (UK) in French and Spanish. Currently, I'm learning about best practices for teaching languages.
I am passionate about languages and teaching. I love creating specific plans and lessons suited to the needs of the individual, with three years experience in private tutoring in French and Spanish! I am committed to creative teaching and can't wait to gain more tutoring experience!

Transparency is a key starting point with my students. We set clear goals and objectives together in the lesson. I am open to feedback at the end of the session which will enable me to plan subsequent lessons.
After the objectives of the lesson are set, I will develop a series of lesson plans which will give the student more confidence in their speaking and conversation skills as well as a way to get to know each other. I'm interested in your experiences and the specific contexts in which you want to use your language skills. I make sure to provide personalised one on one feedback in speaking. I can also then take a focused approach to any grammar points that my students are struggling with. I have an array of materials for these, developed and sourced over years of experience.
There will always be time to have fun, and be animated in my lessons! I specialise in middle, high school and adult education but can also tutor elementary. During my undergraduate degree, I specialized in French literature and my current specialization is Second Language teaching.
