About Caitríona

Being an Irish student, passionate about foreign languages, I decided to do a bachelors degree specializing in French language and linguistics at University College Dublin in Ireland. During this period of study, I did an academic year at Bordeaux 3 Michel de Montaigne University where I fell in love with French culture and life.

I followed an intensive teacher training course in order to obtain the CELT qualification. After graduating, I returned to France to teach English as a language assistant in a college in Saint-Etienne.

Currently in Master 1 Language Sciences at the University Lyon 2, I will undertake a Master 2 Didactics of foreign languages and TICE in September with the intention of continuing my career in the years to come. Regarding my thesis, I will be conducting a study on the motivation of foreign language students and the impact of a language assistant in English class.

About the lesson

Hello !

Professional, pedogogical and passionate about languages, I am offering one-on-one or group English classes, by webcam or in the students' home. I adapt myself to the personal needs of the individual and goals of each student and so every class is personalised accordingly.

Ages : children / youths / adults
Levels : from beginner to advanced
Type of classes : basic conversation / English exam preparation

My teaching method is very simple: You have to speak, practice the language to improve and mistakes are part of the adventure of learning a language. During my lessons, I impart oral and written skills taking into account the importance of a good learning experience which encourages people to work and pushes them to master English regardless of level.

First free class by webcam, the subsequent classes are possible in the students' home.

Perfect! If you want to improve your English , you should choose Caitriona as your teacher. She's so serious on her work and she tries all her best for improving your English in a very high level. I passed my bac this year , she helped me so much in the preparation for this exam therefore, I get 17,5/20.I'm so surprised because this is the same mark that she already gave me before the examination test. I'm very thankful to her and I wish for her a lot of success in her life.

Caitriona helped with with my French leaving cert exam (equivalent to the French Bac) during my final year of school. She helped me with my written and listening exams but most of all her help for my oral exam was amazing! She was great for widening my vocabulary and perfecting my accent, my oral examiner was amazed with my level of speaking! Overall Caitriona is a great tutor, very kind, friendly and easy to understand. She calmed my nerves a lot for the exam and brought me up from an average C student to a B in my leaving cert (with an A grade for my oral).
