About Molly
I am a Senior at the University of South Carolina, this May I will be graduating with an English major and an education cognate. I have taken courses that cover all of the basics of teaching elementary school students; including Schools in Communities, Issues and Trends in teaching, Basic Elementary Mathematics 1&2, Learners and the Diversity of learning, Classroom Assessment, and Exceptional Children (A course on learning, physical, and mental disabilities). As well as completing two courses at an elementary school, working directly with students. I have been working with children since I started babysitting regularly at 12, and also have experience as a Head Counselor of a summer camp in 2019. As for my literary knowledge, I am comfortable teaching/explaining Greek Mythology (as well as the hero's journey), American Literature from Colonization to present, creative writing, essay writing, English Literature (Shakespeare to present), the Modernist and Postmodernist eras, and am able to help with all general English/Language Arts classes. I have most of my experience with younger students, aged about 6-13, but I have worked with pre-K-12. I have a vast plethora of knowledge that I would love to share.

I have a very holistic method of teaching. I believe that the best way to help students learn is by focusing on their individual needs inside the classroom. I do not adhere to the standard of focusing on one learning style, I like to present the information in as many different formats as possible so that there are multiple pathways created for information recall. I fully devote myself to what the student needs to reach their learning goals.
