About Emily
I'm passionate about maths and will be studying Mechanical Engineering at Southampton University. I enjoy running and creative writing and I am sponsored at university by the RAF. I was a peer mentor at my sixth form and so have experience in tutoring up to A Level standard.
I'm also focused on getting more girls into STEM fields - only 12% of university engineering undergraduates were female in 2017 with the key issue being A-Level choices, and this needs to change! I firmly believe if one enjoys a subject they are much more likely to excel in it so my goal is to help people enjoy learning as much as I do.

I will target the student's weaker areas in their chosen subject by firstly going through background and essential knowledge or rote learning for the subject and then guiding then through worked examples and questions on the subject until they are confident. I will also do my best to make studying fun instead of a chore and cater for individuals' learning styles.

Perfect! My daughter enjoyed her lesson with Emily and found it a helpful revision going over some things she didn't understand. During to anxiety and other issues she refused anymore tuition but did say that Emily was lovely and knowledgeable. Would happily recommend this tutor who was easy to contact and reliable.
