About Jahnavi
Hi, I'm Jahnavi!
I'm a B.Tech Information Technology student in my final year, with a strong academic track record — including a 94 percentile in JEE Mains. Alongside my engineering studies, I'm also preparing for the UPSC Civil Services examination, which has given me a deep, well-rounded understanding of both Mathematics and Social Studies.
For the past 2 years, I have been teaching students aged 5 to 15 (Classes 1 to 10), helping them build strong fundamentals and genuine confidence in their subjects — not just exam-ready answers. My own experience as a competitive exam aspirant has taught me the value of conceptual clarity, and that's exactly what I bring into every class.
I understand that choosing the right tutor is an important decision for any parent or student, which is why I focus on creating a patient, supportive, and structured learning environment — one where every child feels comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.

My teaching philosophy centers on understanding each child before teaching them. I believe every student learns differently, so I first assess their current understanding and comfort level with the subject before building on it from the basics.
I place strong emphasis on conceptual clarity rather than just arriving at solutions. Instead of teaching students to memorize steps or formulas, I focus on helping them understand the "why" behind every concept — this builds a strong foundation and makes them confident enough to solve new, unfamiliar problems on their own, not just the ones they've practiced before.
Structure of my classes:
I usually begin each session with a quick recap of previous concepts, followed by introducing new topics through simple, relatable examples. I encourage students to ask questions and think through problems step-by-step rather than rushing to the answer. Each class ends with practice questions to reinforce the concept taught, along with doubt-clearing.
What makes me different:
I take a patient, student-centered approach — adjusting my pace and explanations based on how each child grasps the material. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all method; whether a student needs more repetition, real-life examples, or visual explanations, I adapt accordingly.
Who my classes are for:
My classes are best suited for school-going children from Class 1 to Class 10, particularly for Mathematics and Social Studies. I also enjoy working with young beginners who are just starting to build their academic foundation, as I focus heavily on strengthening basics before moving to advanced concepts
