After struggling in math, I know the questions, common mistakes, and feelings that come with not understanding your math homework. This experience has allowed me to find effective tutoring strategies as well as personalize my approach so that the student gets the help that they need. I do my best to encourage the student to lead the way. I ask questions that require in-depth thinking and focus on the student's engagement and contribution to the session. By guiding the student towards the correct answer and seeing their thought process , I am able to understand where they are struggling. Honesty, patience, flexibility, and personal experience are key aspects in my tutoring and I hope to share them! I have years of experience tutoring students from first grade though college and am confident working with students from different backgrounds of various ages.
