About Alicia
I am a university student at the ANU, studying a double degree of engineering and economics. It keeps me busy!
I love meeting new people and look forward to forming connections with my tutees. I am friendly, cheerful, a little bit chatty, and always motivated to help others learn. In my free time I enjoy playing piano and exploring the outdoors.
As a tutor, I enjoy supporting students to work through problems, and feel well equipped to explain concepts a range of different ways to support students' understanding.

When I started the IB program I felt completely overwhelmed, so I understand and have experienced the stress of feeling unable to learn a topic. I believe that private tutoring can allow a safe space for making mistakes and growing. I enjoy working through problems together with my students, allowing both exploration and explanation. I would also love to help develop my personal strategies of organisation and motivation that I found worked for me to help my students achieve their best.

Alicia makes an excellent tutor because she highly values helping others. She wants to make sure that the people she tutors feel comfortable and confident in their studies. She is very patient, but also fun, and aims to inspire a love of learning.
Alicia has a wonderful calm and cheerful energy. In highschool, her passion for teaching maths and physics was demonstrated as she explained different concepts to all her classmates. I feel that she would make an excellent tutor as she is kind and approachable, and highly intelligent with the ability to explore and explain concepts with others.
