About Freeman
I am a student at the University of Edinburgh studying Electronics and Computer Science with a strong background in mathematics from Reading School. I enjoy problem-solving and learning how complex ideas fit together, which led to me explaining concepts to others and helping them gain confidence in their own abilities. Having experienced the pressure from GCSEs and A-Levels, I find it rewarding when I see students progressing in subjects that they initially find challenging. Teaching allows me to use my academic skills to make a positive impact while also developing my communication and leadership abilities.

My approach to tutoring is for students to understand the material and feel confident going into exams. I start by identifying a student's current level and break down complex topics into clear and manageable steps. Lessons are interactive with guided practice, exam-style questions and regular feedback in order to reinforce students' learning and confidence. A lesson typically lasts 45-60 minutes, with shorter sessions if required. This allows sufficient time for practice, explanation and feedback. My lessons are suitable for students aged 14-18, which includes GCSE and A-Level learners. As a Maths Tutor educated from Reading School and student at the University of Edinburgh, I have experience explaining academic concepts clearly and supporting students through structured guidance and mentoring.
