About Cathrina
Hi, I'm Cathrina, a third-year engineering student who completed the IB myself, so I know exactly what the program expects and where students tend to struggle. I tutor IB subjects, with a particular strength in math and sciences (Physics, Chemistry) thanks to my ongoing engineering studies — I can go beyond the syllabus when a student wants a deeper or more advanced explanation. Lessons are structured and paced to the student, whether it's catching up before an exam or building stronger fundamentals for the long run. I take tutoring seriously: sessions are prepared in advance, and my goal is real, measurable progress.

Techniques and teaching methodology:
I focus on building real understanding, not memorization; connecting concepts to concrete examples first, then formulas. Lots of practice problems, and I ask students to explain their reasoning so I can catch gaps early.
Typical length of a lesson:
1 hour per session, extendable to 1.5–2h for exam prep.
Qualifications/experience as a tutor:
Third-year engineering student at ECAM Lyon, strong background in math and physics. [experience tutoring students during my high school years]
