About Kilian

I am currently a final-year engineering student at IMT Mines Albi, after two years of preparatory class for competitive entrance exams to the Grandes Ecoles (1st year: MPSI, 2nd year PSI).

I obtained a scientific baccalaureate, mathematics specialty and engineering sciences option, with high honors.

Passionate about science and teaching, I have been teaching mathematics and physical sciences for 5 years.

About the lesson

My teaching method is inspired by what I was able to learn in the preparatory class: great rigor carried by a logical mind.

However, I take care not to lose the interest that these disciplines represent: to understand the world around us. Contextualized, I think these disciplines become, much more interesting.

As a current student, my strong point is that I can easily put myself in the student's shoes, insist on points that I know are difficult to grasp and approach concepts with a student's perspective.

Course schedule:

First, to get to know the student, I always ask for his last test. We review it quickly, together take stock of the difficulties and define the course objectives.

Each lesson then proceeds as follows:

-I answer any questions he may have;
-We correct the exercises given in the previous course;
-We approach a new course passage or continue the previous one;
-I propose to the student some exercises of direct application of the course, by guiding him;
-Finally, I give him some exercises to do on his own, which we will correct in the next lesson.
