About Amogh
My name is Amogh, and I am currently a high school student. I am accelerated in math, as I took AP Calculus as a sophomore and have done well in many math courses throughout middle and high school, including Geometry, Algebra I and II, PreCal and have studied into courses such as Trigonometry. I am well versed in these topics and have previously tutored my sibling and other children during lessons at a learning center that I volunteered at. I found many ways to advance my teaching methods and abilities and feel confident in providing clear and concise material to my students.

As a tutor, I believe that teaching mathematics should be centered around creating and administering a thorough, detailed, and comprehensive plan that intricately explores all concepts. During a typical lesson, I would begin by first assessing the student's current level of understanding regarding the topic in order to identify their strengths and weaknesses and areas that could be improved upon. Then, I would bridge a previous or easier concept into the more difficult and/or new concept to allow for a smooth transition. Next, I break down larger concepts into small, manageable parts and principles to ensure a solid foundation from which a student can cohesively build upon to move on with more advanced material. I use numerous methods such as real-world examples, interactive exercises, and engaging content to promote participation, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Unlike many other tutors, I tailor lessons according to the students, adjusting pacing, difficulty, and adapting to different learning styles. There is ample time to practice and reinforce learning and assessments will be administered to track progress. My goal is to create a comfortable and supportive environment where there is no hesitation to ask questions and students can proceed with confidence. My lessons can range from students of any age, any grade up to 8th grade. This can include any course.
