About Dominik
I am a fourth-year mechanical engineering student currently on placement who will help students by giving detailed explanations from GCSE and A Level maths and physics problems. My degree has given me a deepened understanding of the concepts behind these courses meaning I can explain them in alternate ways if a student is struggling to grasp a concept from a different point of view. My skills mean I can help students organise their work in a logical order (to an examiner) to help them gain the most marks from exams. I have very strong A level grades in Maths, Physics and Computer Science as well as many extracurricular activities such as the ESA CanSat competition, in which I was on the UK champion team, and also many hours spent working with Rolls Royce Engineers during the EES. During my degree, I have gained deeper knowledge and understanding of concepts key to teaching, and am always happy to provide advice on the next steps after school. During my degree I have taken on projects designing a pneumatic motor and developing a solar car powertrain for the BWSC competition. I have spent over 2 years tutoring with over 300 lessons from primary school level maths to A level multiple times a week with happy clients. The price per lesson is dependent on the content taught, for example, I will charge much less for KS2 maths than Advanced A level physics up to a maximum of £25/hour.

A student will come to me with a concept or problem they do not understand and I will be able to give a 1 to 1 step by step explanation of what the student is struggling with. After the student feels confident with the concept, I will give them a few questions to answer and work through. This will mean that I can diagnose the part of the question where they are getting stuck and will be able to explain what is happening in the problem and relate it back to the recently discussed concept required to solve the problem.

Perfect! Dom has been fantastic with my three sons in years 7, 4 and 1 respectively. They are improving every week.
