About Christian

I have two years of experience tutoring math and SAT prep, which I began as a senior in high school and continued into my freshman year of college. During that time, I developed a passion for helping students reach their academic goals. I paused tutoring briefly to focus on my own studies and am now currently enrolled at the University of Florida, where I’m pursuing a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering.

My academic background includes advanced college math courses up to Calculus 3, and I scored a 1440 on the SAT in high school. I have specialized SAT prep resources, including access to 10 different practice tests, and I’m well-versed in effective online tools that can support student improvement. My experience and resources ensure that I can guide students through challenging material and help them achieve success.

About the lesson

In my tutoring sessions, my primary goal is to help students truly understand the material, not just memorize answers. With over two years of teaching experience in math and SAT prep, I focus on engaging students by encouraging them to think critically and attempt to solve problems on their own. I believe that by guiding them through the process and stepping in only when necessary, students gain deeper comprehension and retain the concepts better.

Each session is tailored to the student’s unique goals and struggles. Before our first meeting, I gather information on the topics they find challenging, which allows me to prepare targeted resources. This way, our time together is efficient and focused on what will benefit them the most. The first session typically includes an introduction to my qualifications and teaching style, as well as a discussion about the students academic goals. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel confident to ask questions and tackle difficult problems.

My goal is to empower students with the skills they need to succeed, both in their current coursework and in future learning.
