About Upkar
Hi! I'm Upkar — a Computer Engineering student at the University of Saskatchewan and a Dean’s Honor Roll recipient. I have hands-on experience with programming languages like Java, Python, C, and Verilog, and have worked on real-world projects ranging from HR management systems to FPGA-based hardware designs. Beyond academics, I’ve supported over 20,000 students as Vice President of our Students’ Union and worked closely with university leadership to improve student services. I'm also a Residence Assistant, where I help foster a safe and welcoming environment for hundreds of students. Whether you’re looking to build confidence in coding, understand data structures, or explore embedded systems and machine learning, I bring patience, clarity, and a strong foundation in both software and leadership to every lesson.

About My Lessons
As a tutor, I prioritize clarity, patience, and adaptability. My teaching approach is student-centered — I begin by identifying your current level, goals, and preferred learning style. From there, I design lessons that build confidence and mastery step-by-step.
My Methodology
I combine practical examples with clear explanations to make complex concepts easier to understand. Whether it’s reinforcing foundational knowledge or tackling advanced topics, I adjust the pace and style to suit each student.
A Typical Lesson Plan
Each session starts with a quick review of previous material to reinforce learning. We then move into new content using guided problems, real-world examples, and active recall techniques. I end with a short recap and suggest focus areas for independent practice.

I create a relaxed, supportive environment where questions are always welcome. I’m committed to helping students not just memorize, but understand — and even enjoy — what they’re learning. I also provide follow-up resources or practice questions when needed.
