My approach to teaching is student-centered; I tailor each session based on the student's learning style, pace, and most importantly, learning goals.
Oftentimes, I use questions and problem-solving activities to engage and deepen the understanding of my students, guiding them step by step until they gain full confidence in the subject.
Typically, I have a carefully structured lesson, which lasts between 60 to 90 minutes, and it follows the plans below:
-Quick review of previous lessons or assessing prior knowledge in case of first contact. This typically lasts for 10 minutes
-Introduction of new concepts with an interactive explanation
-Solving questions and exercises together
-Student approaches questions independently with my observation and guidance when needed
-A quick summary of the lesson, addressing confusions, and assigning practice exercises to wrap up the session.
One of the things that sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to create a safe space for my students to make mistakes and grow without judgment. I also adapt my teaching style to match my students' strengths, so that they can achieve optimal results from the classes. Finally, I help my students manage their time, study habits, and help them build their confidence outside academics, which is important for long-term success.
