About Nader
I am an Engineering PhD and an official teacher at Derby College, with over 11 years of experience teaching Maths, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, and CAD software such as SolidWorks. I have worked in both academia and industry, which allows me to connect theoretical concepts with real-world applications and exam requirements. I enjoy teaching because I genuinely value helping students build confidence, think logically, and achieve results they may not have thought possible. I understand that many learners struggle not due to a lack of ability, but because concepts were not explained in a clear and structured way. My aim is to make complex topics accessible, practical, and engaging.

My lessons are structured, student-centred, and results-focused. I begin by identifying your current level and specific goals, then adapt the teaching approach accordingly. I emphasise clear explanations, step-by-step problem solving, and practical examples to build both understanding and confidence. For Maths and Physics, I focus on strengthening fundamentals, exam techniques, and tackling common misconceptions. For Mechanical Engineering and SolidWorks, I use an applied, industry-relevant approach, guiding students through real examples and hands-on tasks. My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A level students, apprentices, and university-level learners, as well as adults seeking professional or software-based training. Sessions are available in person in Derby or online. Lessons typically last 60 minutes, though longer sessions can be arranged if required.
