About Jennifer
I hold a B.S in Mechanical Engineering, and I started tutoring in mathematics, English, and essay writing at my university. I loved it so much that after graduation, I transitioned to a substitute teacher and then a teacher's assistant for grades k-12. There, I familiarized myself with the common core teachings and curriculum creation. Soon after, I started tutoring online. Now, my expertise has expanded to include a wide range of levels in math, reading, writing, and test preparation skills. I communicate frequently with parents to keep them up to date with their child's progress and always attend all my sessions; in the rare case that I cannot attend, I will give ample notice to parents and discuss other arrangements.

My lessons include phonics, reading comprehension, grammar, writing, essay writing, elementary and middle school mathematics, algebra 1, algebra 2, geometry, trigonometry, and test preparation for grades 2 to 12. Each lesson plan will be tailored to meet each student's individual needs, and we will go at the students' pace to ensure they fully grasp the material and to build confidence. My teaching method is to explain the rules, demonstrate the steps, then I walk the student through examples until they can complete the practice problems on their own. My goal is to elevate all of my students' knowledge and give them the fire to continue to pursue higher education even after our lessons are done.
