I like to connect with the students and determine what their likes and dislikes are and then incorporate their interests into the approach for teaching. I often begin class with a practical example that can be solved using the concepts to be discussed further in the class. I try to bring the concept down to a very simple example and then add more items to reach the expected level of understanding. I do not like to engage in teaching for more than 40 minutes and would have a review and questions for another 15 minutes.
I am a Mechanical engineer and am pursuing my Masters in Engineering Management. I have tutored a few students at the GCSE level. My classes are typically for students of the age group 13-18.
