About John Rey

My name is John Rey, and I bring a strong academic background and a deep passion for teaching mathematics. Throughout my university years, I consistently ranked within the top 1% of my batch, a result of discipline, curiosity, and a genuine love for problem‑solving. I was honored to be recognized as one of the Ten Outstanding Students in our country, a distinction awarded to individuals who demonstrate excellence in academics, leadership, and community impact.

I have also represented my school and region in numerous mathematics, physics, and engineering competitions, earning awards at both regional and national levels. These experiences strengthened not only my technical skills but also my ability to explain complex ideas clearly and confidently.

Beyond academics, I have served as a peer mentor and student leader, helping classmates and younger students improve their understanding of math and related subjects. These roles taught me patience, empathy, and the importance of adapting my teaching style to each learner’s needs.

- I begin by assessing the student’s current level, strengths, and areas for improvement.
- Lessons are delivered step‑by‑step, using real examples, visual explanations, and guided practice.
- I emphasize understanding over memorization, ensuring students can apply concepts independently.
- Each session ends with a short recap and targeted exercises to reinforce learning.

- Standard lessons are 60 minutes, with 90‑minute sessions available for exam preparation or advanced university topics.

- I am an Engineering Graduate, giving me a strong foundation in mathematics, logic, and analytical thinking.
