About Dan
Hello! My name is Dan and I've just graduated from my Masters of Engineering at The University of Edinburgh. I have been tutoring on and off for the last couple years and enjoy helping students reach their full potential. Along side my studies I competed with the high performance rowing team at Edinburgh University Boat Club (EUBC) as well as play the saxophone in the university wind band.

I like to initially discuss with my students what they need help with and then use this to form a plan with how we are going to tackle the work. My lessons start with a summary of the topic, followed by some questions that we work through together. I support them through the first few questions, letting their confidence grow until they are able to answer them without my help. At the end of the lesson we summarise the key points, creating a set of notes for the student to keep that they can then use while studying themselves. I encourage students to bring any school work that they need help with to the sessions so I can also support their class work.
