About Kelsey

I am a young professional with a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech (2023) and am currently pursuing a part-time Master's in Computer Science from Georgia Tech as well. I have always had a love of math and tutored all throughout high school and college. I have experience tutoring in Algebra (1&2), Pre-Calculus, and first grade math, but would love the opportunity to teach any kind of math K-12!

About the lesson

I am a tutor for all levels K-12!
1. I begin sessions by going through the general concepts first, teaching the understanding behind why certain concepts work (from showing physical examples of addition/subtraction to young students all the way to explaining the concept of derivatives graphically to calculus students).
2. Then, I go through any "math hacks" or fun mnemonic devices to help remember or complete tasks.
3. The student and I then work through a few example problems together to make sure the concepts are understood.
4. Finally, I let the student work on their school assignments and oversee making sure the concepts are still being applied properly.
