About Ryan
I spent a career working at organizations from small startups to top tech companies, all the while learning and sharing knowledge along the way. I discovered over time that I preferred solving human problems, so I transitioned to teaching over time. Having taught students ranging from children to senior engineers, I apply my experience to each unique person. I meet students wherever they are in their journey, and through the lens of empathy and compassion I listen and guide software developers to the next level.

I start by listening to learn about my students as individuals, what they understand about the engineering space, and what their learning goals are. Then I work with students side by side in a pair programming context, providing explanations where needed around debugging and best practices, while allowing students to have the space to discover their own inner strength as developers.
