About Tamy
I am an Engineer-in-Training with a strong academic background in engineering, project management and business management. I have successfully completed the Fundamentals of Engineering examination and have experience tutoring students at Saskatchewan Polytechnic in mathematics, statistics and business-related subjects.
I enjoy helping students overcome the frustration that can come with difficult mathematical concepts. I am patient, organized and committed to creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
My engineering background allows me to connect mathematical concepts with practical examples and real-world applications. I believe every student can improve with the right explanation, consistent practice and encouragement. I offer lessons in English and Spanish and welcome students with different learning styles, confidence levels and academic goals.

My lessons are personalized to each student’s level, learning style and academic goals. I explain mathematical concepts step by step, using clear examples and guided practice before helping students solve problems independently.
A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previous concepts, followed by an explanation of the current topic, practice exercises and a final recap to identify areas that need additional reinforcement. I can also assist with homework, assignments and test preparation while ensuring that the student understands the reasoning behind each solution.
As an Engineer-in-Training with tutoring experience at Saskatchewan Polytechnic, I bring strong analytical skills, patience and a structured approach to every lesson. I focus on building confidence, strengthening foundational knowledge and making complex topics easier to understand.
My lessons are suitable for middle school and high school students, including Foundations of Mathematics and Pre-Calculus, as well as college students requiring support with introductory mathematics or statistics. Lessons can be provided in English or Spanish.
