About Teresa

Hi! I have been teaching maths to primary and high school students for over 4 years, but have been tutoring in ESL, Spanish and English as a school subject for 6 years. I have seen my students flourish and grow in confidence with their maths abilities, while also learning to love maths. I have received maths tutoring in the past, and I understand how challenging learning mathematical concepts can be, so I know where students struggle and how hard it is to ask the right questions. Because of this, I know how students feel and can help them on a deeper level. Also, I finished my HSC with a band 6 in mathematics, and I am eager to share my knowledge with other students!

About the lesson

My name is Teresa and I am a commerce/law student at the University of Sydney. I graduated high school with an ATAR of 97.20. Maths lessons can often be difficult to be engaging for students, and I want them to be interested and focused in the lessons. I am very flexible with lesson plans. With older students, I listen to what they want to get out of tutoring and what questions they want to do together. With younger students, I like to see what work they are doing in class and bring in questions for them to do with me.
