About Cassandra
I began teaching in a high school special education building that specialized in working with students with emotional and behavioral needs. In this school, I taught Algebra and Geometry at the highest level. Looking for a younger population to help me grow as a math educator, I taught in a different district with students K-4. In this elementary position I developed my fact fluency practices and understanding of early common core strategies and standards. I am now a teacher in the middle school levels, specifically 8th grade. This year, I also teach 6th grade math, 8th grade Social Studies, and 8th grade Science.

With more than 20 years experience teaching in grades K-12, I will work with you or your learner on foundational skills required for finding success in math. While building on current math topics taught in the classroom, I will develop an individualized plan that will have frequent check ins for growth. I pride myself in finding fun and engaging ways to interest any learner. I pride myself in differentiating instruction that meets the needs each student.
