About Luma
I'm a natural teacher, professionally, I've been an educator for over 24 years. I have been teaching since 1992. I taught high school for 5 years in a traditional classroom setting. I have also taught several different grade levels. I taught 3rd grade for 2 years and an ESL teacher for 5th-8th grade for 10 years in International school. I am currently teaching EL math for 6th -8th graders in middle school.

I am an educator who cares about education and students. I coach and facilitate student learning and overall comprehension of material. I measure my student learning through both formal and informal forms of assessment, including group projects, student portfolios, and class participation. I use direct instruction to describe explicit, step-by-step instruction and that helps my students to observe me and copying my process. I also play a passive role if the students are active and engaged in their learning. My style is to address the needs of diverse students at different learning levels.
